Everyone of us travel, some love it and some just have to deal with it. But everytime during a travel few things should be known for planning your travel and packing your bags. Here is a list of 10 travel hacks everyone should know that will definitely make your travel and journey comfortable and better than before.
1.The Travel essentials
The very basic travel hacks for every traveller is to organise things. Make a list of items that you may require for your visit and then pack accordingly. The most essential items necessary for any travel are spare undergarments, slippers, raincoat and umbrella, towels, sanitizer, sunscreen, toiletry, first-aid kit, a pen and a notepad. You can also add other things according to the weather requirements of the place you are visiting.
2. How to pack bag
Packing a bag is an art. If you have not folded your clothes properly or not put them in right place, you may find it difficult to find a piece when needed. The right way to organize your bag is by rolling your clothes and putting them into bag according to everyday outfit. If you are going with a compact bag for a day or two, you can put all your inner wears too in a single roll along with other piece. This will save time and space in your bag. Also, organise the dresses according to the time they would be needed, like put the last day clothes at the bottom, and the clothes (nightwears) you might need immediately after reaching your destination at the top.

3. The everyday toiletry kit
This kit is a must have but usually ignored while packing bags. For this kind of travel hacks take a pouch and fill in it the mini versions of your toothpaste, shampoo, bodywash or soap, moisturizer, toothbrush, comb, toilet paper or tissue papers. You can customize many other things in this kit according to your necessity.
4. First aid cum medicine kit
A must have for every traveller is the first-aid cum medicine kit. The compulsory items in this kit should include cotton, band-aid, sanitizer, crepe bandage, antiseptic cream, disprin, paracetamol, ORS sachets, glucose powder, your preferred medicine for vomiting, diarrhoea, cold, along with the medicines that you are taking (if any). You can also add a pain relief cream or spray (spray recommended for travel and treks).
5. All purpose Carry bags
The one thing that is always needed but most of the times compromised is having extra carry bags. They can be used in a multipurpose ways and make uo the best travel hacks. You will never regret taking few with you. They can be used for putting wet or dirty clothes, so that they don’t get mixed with clean ones. Also, you can put any new purchases in them to avoid mixing with other essentials. They can be used for putting your slippers or shoes or dirty socks. Also, you should use them to put your wrappers and trash to later dumping in a dustbin.

6. Where to keep shoes
Organising your shoes and slippers is always a mess. You don’t want to mix them with your clothes obviously or otherwise all your clothes will have the smell and dirt of your feet. But in most of the bags, there is no special space for them. So, the best travel hacks is to firstly put your footwear in a separate waterproof carry bag, then put all those bagged footwears into a single carry bag. Partition your bag and make a side space for your footwears. By this way you will always get your shoes and slippers handy all the time and organising them back to the bag will not be a mess anymore.
7. Pre Research and Site map
Always read and research about the place you are going to visit. Know about the sites that you can visit there, activities that are available, research about hotels, transportation methods, charges that you might incur. You should also research about the people, and the culture of the place you are visiting. Many a times, the community you are visiting find a phrase or a word rude which is otherwise normal for you. (This has happened with me!) Get a site map of the place you are visiting and study it thoroughly, this is a must have atleast for trekkers and hikers.
8. Where to keep wrappers and trash
Never throw your wrappers and trash out of your window. Be a responsible tourist and respect the nature and environment of the place you are visiting. Make one of the carry bag that you took with you as your personalised dustbin. You can tie that carry bag with your backpack or put it inside. Empty it where ever you encounter with a trash bin, and this is one of the best travel hacks.
9. Water bottle
One of the most essential travel hacks but ignored must have is your personalised water bottle. Carrying your own bottle will help you reduce the plastic bottle trash and prevent you from consuming microplastics during your travel. You can always refill the water bottle from sources present in the halting spots. There are various bottles that come with chains and hooks that can be tied to your backpacks. This makes it easier for carrying the bottle, especially during trekking and hiking.
